Attention to All Business Owner
Implementation Of A New Registration Number Format For Business Entities Registered With Companies Commission Of Malaysia (SSM)

Beginning from 11 October 2019, SSM will be using a new format of registration number containing 12 digit characters for Company, Business and Limited Liability Partnership

What is my entity’s New Registration Number?
How to obtain the New Registration Number?

The new registration number can be obtained from SSM’s Portal by clicking the below link:

Open to public (Free of Charge)
1) SSM e-search - https://www.ssm.com.my/Pages/Quick_Link/e-Search.aspx ; or

Open to registered user only
2) SSM e-info - https://www.ssm-einfo.my/; or
3) MyData - https://www.mydata-ssm.com.my/homePage ; or
4) MyCoID2016 - https://mycoid2016.ssm.com.my/ .

During the transition period, the existing registration number will be maintained and displayed along with the new format as follow until further announcement/ notice from SSM:

Entities can still use the existing registration numbers for transactions on officials letters, invoices, signboards and other printed documents until SSM issuance of notice at later date on fully implementation. However, SSM encourages entities to use the new registration number format.
