Know the People and the Culture

Going beyond the basics shows genuine interest. Research not just the company but also the key players like the HR manager, the boss, and the hiring manager. Understanding their professional backgrounds can help you craft responses that resonate.

Master Both Zoom and In-Person Interviews

Whether your interview is over Zoom or in person, professionalism is key. For Zoom interviews, ensure your technology is set up correctly, dress appropriately, and maintain eye contact with the camera. Create a quiet, distraction-free environment with good lighting to present yourself at your best.

For in-person interviews, remember that first impressions count—dress smartly, arrive early, and bring copies of your resume and any other requested documents.

In both settings, maintain confident body language and engage actively with the interviewer to leave a lasting impression.

Follow Up with Impact

Don’t let the conversation end at the interview. Send a thoughtful thank-you note to HR, expressing your gratitude and reiterating your interest. It’s your chance to reinforce your suitability and keep yourself top of mind.
