New TAeF 2.0 Coming Soon!

IRB has shared some exciting news! A new and improved tax system called TAeF 2.0 will start in November 2023.

Why is this happening?

They want to make tax services better and easier to use online through a portal called MyTax.

Challenges with TAef 1.0:

1. Multiple users have been utilizing the same tax agent ID for tax submissions.

2. Tax agents have been able to make submissions even with expired licenses.

3 .IDs of deceased tax agents remain active, allowing others to make submissions using these IDs.

4. A lack of control existed, enabling firm administrators to register multiple user IDs per individual.

Key Improvements in TAef 2.0:

1. Enhanced access control

Tax agents, with taxpayer permission, can access specific taxpayer profiles, like e-ledgers and refund statuses, directly via MyTax.

2. Improved user experience

Tax agents managing multiple accounts can seamlessly switch between them without the necessity of constant logins and logouts.

3. Submission simplification

Tax agents will perform submissions through their MyTax accounts, centralizing the process and making it more efficient.

If you are a tax agent or run a tax firm, you need to:

1. Update your personal details

2. Get a digital certificate

3. Join sessions to learn how to use the new system
