(Tax Update) How To TIN Search In MyTax

With E-invoice rolled out in 2nd phase with effect from 1st January 2025, discover how to easily access your MyTax Portal with this step-by-step guide to retrieve TIN for e-invoice purposes.

This feature ensures a seamless experience for individuals and businesses, offering quick and secure access to essential tax details. Start navigating your tax information today!

Step 1 : Open and navigate to MyTax Portal (https://mytax.hasil.gov.my) and log in by selecting the ID type. Enter your individual identification number and password.

Step 2 : Click on the “Search Tin” button

Step 3 : Navigate to the search page.

Step 4(a) : Choose the option by selecting “Individuals”

Next is to choose either Identification Number or Passport Number. Enter the number and click the “Search” button.

Step 4(b) : Choose the option by selecting “Other Than Individuals”

Next is to choose the category of entity. Enter the number and click the “search” button.

Step 5 - The result will display the TIN number

In conclusion, this feature eases the hassle of retrieving your TIN, streamlining the process for e-invoice compliance and ensuring quick, secure access to your tax information.
