𝐀𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐞 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐲 𝐒𝐒𝐌
Corporate Compliance Division in SSM is to raise the corporate compliance rate by encouraging good corporate governance values through a continuous education program as well as via effective surveillance and enforcement efforts.
One of key areas is to
1. Conduct inspections on businesses and companies to ensure that the Registration of Businesses Act 1956 and Companies Act 1965/Companies Act 2016 as well as their accompanying Rules and Regulations are complied.
2. Conduct system monitoring on companies failing to lodge statutory documents under the Companies Act 1965.
3. Issue compound notices to business owners, companies and company officers for offences under the relevant Acts.
𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐒𝐌 𝐚𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐭 :
1. update your account truthfully and faithfully
2. submit your annual return and audited financial statement.
3. display your full details of company in your business place.
4. update your register
5. discuss with your company secretary
𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐚 (𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭)𝐀𝐜𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟓
27B.(1) The Registrar may make a written order under subsection (2) against any person if he has reasonable grounds to believe that that person—
(a)has any information or any document that is relevant to the performance of functions and powers under the laws specified in the First Schedule;
or
(b)is capable of giving any evidence which the Registrar has reasonable grounds to believe that the evidence is relevant to the performance of functions and powers under the laws specified in the First Schedule.
(2) The order under subsection (1) may require the person—
(a)to give the Registrar any such information;
(b)to produce to the Registrar any such documents, whether in a physical form or in electronic media;
